Keith James is an American recording artist and multi-platinum songwriter whose distinctive mix of Pop, Hip-hop, and R&B has led to writing multiple records for top-selling music artists such as Jeremih, Nicki Minaj, Wale, and others. Early Life

Teaming with multi-platinum producer Mick Schultz in 2008, James wrote the platinum hit “Birthday Sex” with childhood friend, Jeremih. The song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The trio then collaborated on the hit record “Imma Star,” which reached gold status, and a publishing deal with Universal followed.   Schultz has been cited for believing that James is a highly-talented artist with a potential to do big things and that the two have a special bond. The duo has written a large catalogue of songs (over 70) together that has not yet been released.

Musical Style

James is generally known for creating positive, uplifting lyrics and melodies. His music has been described as a mix of Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, and John Legend, and his voice has been described as similar to that of Teddy Pendergrass and Barry White.
