Prof. Patel is on advisory body of the communications journal published by the Directorate of Distance Education, Kashmir University. [1]

He has published an article entitled Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) for the continuation of Education during Campus Closure.[3]

He has developed an E-Content for the Department of Education & Training on Namu-o-Nashonuma (Growth and Development) for Psychology of Learner and Learning 2.3.[4]

Prof. Patel has participated in various activities of the Central University of Karnataka, such as inauguration of the new buildings by Shri. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of India. The other activities include International Yoga Day, Celebrated; Devaraj Urs -the champion of social justice; Higher Education Must Gear Up to Face the Challenges of the New World address by Prof. Chenni, National Conference on Role of MSMEs in Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Economic Development of India- Issues and Challenges; World Mother tongue day - 2020 celebrations; Inauguration of the Department of Law etc.[15]

He was one among the distinguished guests visiting SKE Society’s Govindram Seksaria Science College, Belagavi, 590006.[16]

He is a faculty of Directorate of Distance Education and he has presented a paper entitled, Training of Teachers through Urdu Distance Mode - The Experience and Challenges of Training Urdu Medium Teachers as mentioned in 14th Annual Report of MANUU, Hyderabad.[17] Review of his work on Open Educational Resource a teaching-learning tool in the times of covid-19 in India is cited in various studies. [18] He was one of the participant in the Regional Consultation Workshop on Developing Quality Guidelines for Open Educational Resources conducted jointly by CEMCA and MANUU at Hyderabad during March, 2013. [19]

Prof. Patel organised 46th IATE conference held at MANUU, Hyderabad. His was nominated as an Executive Committee member of IATE and Regional Secreatry (South) of IATE as reported in the 15th Annual Report of MANUU, Hyderabad. He has a book on Computer Education published by Neelkamal publications.[20]

He was awarded Rs. 2,00,000/- towards organisation of a national seminar on ‘Teacher Education and Community Development’ at Hyderabad from 15 to 17 December 2012.[21]
