User:Dubium et Libertas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

M.D., Ph.D. in the USA. Currently practicing as a licensed physician. Highly specialized in my academic practice at a renowned medical school and teaching hospital.

Name[edit]

With doubt comes freedom from dogma. I am a skeptic in the more traditional sense. I know that the words "freedom" and "doubt" now have a pretty strong sociopolitical connotations starting in the mid to late 2010's USA. I made the name before the whole libertarian thing took off; please do not assume I am in that camp based on the use of these words here. I am pretty apolitical.

Areas of expertise[edit]

As part of my part of post-graduate degrees, I have advanced knowledge including these subjects:

  • medicine
  • medical imaging (MRI, CT, nuclear, molecular, ultrasound, radiography, mammography)
  • radiation biology
  • molecular biology
  • cardiology and vascular surgery
  • oncology

I have published peer reviewed works in the medical fields of cancer, cardiovascular disease, bioengineering, imaging, and biostatistics. I have undergraduate degrees including biology and chemistry, although I do not use this knowledge daily and cannot be considered an academic expert in things like inorganic chemistry or ecology. Beyond that, I am a voracious reader, math nerd, and science hobbyist.
