Hi, and welcome to my page.

I've been contributing to Wikipedia for a number of years now. Typically, I edit a page when I have to read through it several times before understanding it, or if I find blatant grammatical errors. When I finally figure out what's being said, I clarify the article's wording or syntax (or just correct plain, old typo's). Sometimes an article can benefit from just bringing it more into line with good technical writing practices, such as keeping things in active voice and present tense whenever appropriate, using bullet lists and number lists correctly, and the like. I enjoy taking what others have written (mostly I stick to technical topics) and reworking it to remove ambiguity, while enhancing clarity and directness. In my 35+ year career, I have had about a 40-50-10 mix of technical writing and illustration, solid technical work (development, engineering, systems architecture), and communications (voiceover and broadcasting). I simply enjoy communicating technical information clearly. Sick, huh? ;-)

I like to think I don't have an ego stake in my work, so if you see ways I can improve, by all means, let me know!
