About me[edit]

I am a post-doc scientist working in the fields of Behavior, Ecology and Evolution in social insects (ants) at the University of Lausanne, (Switzerland). I conducted my PhD in Biology at the Comoé Research Station in the Comoé National Park (North-eastern Ivory Coast) on the behaviour of Megaponera analis. I have a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Exeter (England) and a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Würzburg (Germany), were I also conducted my PhD. I got into Wikipedia through a friend and after writing an article about Megaponera analis I discovered it to be a lot more fun than I expected. So in my free time I work on improving a couple of articles. I take great care on proper referencing / research and writing lengthy complete articles, which is why it takes me quite some time to edit an article (As a full-time scientist I also find very little time to work on this).

I just reviewed (and passed, easily) your DYK nomination, and wanted to drop by and thank you for such an exceptional addition to Wikipedia. It was a real pleasure to see how much and how thoroughly you'd expanded the Megaponera analis article - fantastic work! Yunshui  11:29, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
