The following is a list of clubs who have played in the National Premier Leagues NSW at any time since its inception in 2013 (eight seasons) as well as any other predecessor competition dating back to the NSW Federation of Soccer Clubs in 1957 (56 seasons) for a total of 64 seasons. There have been a total 68 clubs competing in the New South Wales first division.
Club names given as most recent name in the first division. Where a club has been known by two or more names in the first division, footnotes have been added for clarity. Does not include club name changes from other divisions or competitions. Does not include nicknames.
