Who I am

My name is David Gribble, and there is a lot of information about me on my website [1]. My area of specialist knowledge is in democratic education, and I have been working on improving the wikipedia articles on that topic.

Possible conflict of interest

I taught for almost thirty years at Dartington Hall School, and when it closed I was one of the founders of Sands School, which continued the Dartington tradition. After retIring from teaching I have spent time in many democratic schools around the world and written books about my experiences. In the modifications I have been making to the democratic education entry I have given as references websites for the schools mentioned, books written about them (usually by people associated with them, often the founders) and also sometimes references to my own books. I have tried to remain impartial, but my close involvement with the subject makes this difficult.
