"The major job was getting people to understand that they had something within their power that they could use" -- Ella Baker

Ella Baker, before her name was borrowed to inspire my Wikipedia editing (and user-name), was a civil rights movement leader, largely overlooked by history books. My focuses, like hers were, are on organized participatory democracy, which sees and engages all people from all sectors, education levels, and, socio-economic perspectives as critically needed agents for the communities, countries and world they share. Wikipedia, of course, is a perfect example of participatory democracy.
