My real name is Meganne Wyatt (née Christian) (Q57059308). I am a member of the 2022 European Space Agency Astronaut Group and am the Exploration Commercialisation lead at the UK Space Agency. Before that I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Bologna, Italy. I received my PhD from the University of New South Wales in 2014 for a thesis in the field of nanomaterials for hydrogen storage. My research was in the development of graphene materials as part of the European Graphene Flagship.
I am an occasional editor of Wikipedia. I published my first article: Rose Amal, which I wrote as part of Wikiproject Women in Red in the Women Scientists online editathon. I am also working on Walls of Bologna, for which I am translating the Italian article as a starting point.
In space topics, I wrote the articles Smart Upper Stage for Innovative Exploration and SOLARIS.
