Callum Bustin (born 12 August 1997) is an English professional rugby league player who plays for Newcastle Thunder in Kingstone Press League 1. He plays as a second row, centre or prop.[3][4][5] He has previously played for the London Broncos in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Early career[edit]

Bustin played both league and rugby union as a youth, playing for Twickenham and Reeds RFC in the 15 a-side code.[6]

He played his junior rugby league with the Richmond Warriors before starting on the path to the professional team and signing scholarship terms with the Broncos.[7] Bustin also played for the Staines Titans as a youth.[8]

Cal Bustin has also played in the London Rugby League Origin series.[9] He played for the first-team in a pre-season game against the Skolars in 2015.[10] In 2016 Cal Bustin was recognised as with Academy Players’ Player award.[11]

2016[edit]

Bustin made his professional debut for London against Halifax in 2016.[12][13][14]

He has previously spent time on loan at Oxford in Kingstone Press League 1.[15]

2017[edit]

Bustin played his first game in 2017 on loan for the London Skolars.[16]

He made his first Broncos appearance of the 2017 season against the Dewsbury Rams in round 4 of the Championship season.[17]

Bustin scored two tries on loan for Oxford against the Hemel Stags.[18]
