This is an Icelandic name. The last name is patronymic, not a family name; this person is referred to by the given name Agnar.

Agnar Jón Egilsson (Born 13 August 1973) is an Icelandic actor, director and playwright. He has become a noted youth worker.[1]

Education[edit]

He studied acting at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts and graduated in 1998. He studied drama at The Arts Educational Schools in London and earned an advanced degree. He went on to get a masters degree in cultural management from the University of Bifröst.[2] His masters thesis was The dreamjob: examination of the work environment of actors in Iceland and their attitudes towards job-motivation and their work environment.[3] Published in 2016.[4][5]

Teaching[edit]

Agnar works as a drama consultant with secondary schools in Iceland.[8] He organises school drama productions,[9] and runs courses teaching drama.[10][11] He has worked with International Street Theater of the Red Cross to a workshop for Little Prison for Prisoners. He is the director of Steypibaðsfélagið Stútur.[12]

Our Father or Faðir Vor (Iðnó 2004)[13]

Packed by Henry Adam at LA and Saumastofan 30 years later in the City Theater, which he also wrote.

Crime Against Disco by Gary Owen in the City Theater, which was considered one of the most interesting shows in 2006.

The musical Haf Hafblá eftir Kikku and Þorvald Bjarna in Austurbæ and was awarded the works of Grimur 2006.

Drekaskógur in Austurbæ and the musical ash comic in his new play, with music by Hall Ingólfsson.

Then, and directed by Agnar Jón, the musical composer, Sarínó circus, wrote about the multitudes at the moment.

Agnar was nominated for Grímur for his play Key about Hálsinn, which Vesturport set up, and he directed, he is just one of the founders of the group.

He also directed Romeo and Juliet Vesturports together with Gísli Erni Garðarsson.

Agnar has also written and directed for television, and his episodes of Reykjavik nights were shown at Stage 2 and received three of the four main feature designers for the Edda for their performance in there.
