August 2012 unblock conditions (revised February 2013)

Based on discussion on User talk:Fry1989 between Wikipedia administrators, Fry1989 agrees to the following conditions and restrictions to remain unblocked.

  • The current block duration changes from indefinite to 30 days, expiring 15 September 2012.
  • Fry1989 shall provide clear, concise, civil edit summaries for all edits. It is suggested that Fry1989 enable the setting in the "Editing" tab of his user preferences, to check the box labeled "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" to avoid inadvertent noncompliance with this requirement.
  • Revert requirements (in effect for 4 months after the current block expires):
    • Fry1989 shall abide by WP:1RR, one revert per article per 24 hour period, with exception allowed for reverting obvious, unambiguous vandalism and spam.
    • Fry1989 must explain each revert (excepting reverts of vandalism and spam) on the associated article talk page.
    • If an original edit of Fry1989 is reverted by someone else, Fry1989 shall follow Wikipedia:Bold, revert, discuss cycle rather than reverting again.
  • Civility requirements in effect for 12 months (revised from 6 months, February 2013) after the current block expires:
    • All of Fry1989's communications, including edit summaries and talk page comments, must abide by WP:CIVIL.
    • All communications must refrain from commenting on individual editors except on appropriate behavioral noticeboard pages, understanding that WP:CIVIL applies on those pages also.

Fry1989 agrees that the requirements listed above constitute best practices that should be followed at all times, and that the durations above refer to the period in which a violation will result in the resumption of an indefinite block.
