Q)Why turban? Why not cap?

Q)Why wearing of cap is not allowed in Sikhism ?

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH.

please accept me sincerest Request. Now in a days we all have one question in mind that why wearing of cap is not allowed in sikhism. whether its Hindu or Sikh or any other religious person everyone has doubt about it. today with the wordings of Guru Gobind Singh ji, i will try to answer this question.

While staying at abchal nagar "GURU GOBIND SINGH JI" described the "REHAT" of "SIKH" First of all we should keep such things in mind like what's the meaning of "REHAT", it mean a dress code or we can say it maryada a discipline for e.g every school has a different different dress codes but one thing in common that every shcool mangement wanted to keep all school students in discipline so they defined some rules to kemm them in a discipline. so a few centur ago GURU GOBIND SINGH J Defined some rules for sikhism in which one of them is recorded in REHATNAMA.

REHAT tells us what we should have to do or what we don't have to do.

So now i thing you all understood the menaning of REHATNAMA.

so if GURU GOBIND SINGH JI said these words, while discussing with bhai prahlad singh ji then definitely GURU GOBIND SINGH JI words can't be wrong beacuse he is the medium for "AKALPURAKH" providing these words to us.

And what i am all Writing here all have the meaning because after reading GURBANI i am writing this and belive me before read GURBANI i also had same doubt in my mind and now it's clear.

and one more thing i 'ill clear that these type of question are asked by them only who never read about the GURBANI.

So first start reading GURBANI and try to understand it, once u will start understand GURBANI all doubt automatically going to be clear.

Now again come to Question, Why turban? Why not cap?

Guru Gobind Singh Ji spoke the following to the royal court attendant (Hazoori Sevak) Bhai Prahlad Singh Ji.

ਅਬਚਲ ਨਗਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਗੁਰੂ, ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਕੀਆ ਬੀਚਾਰ The Guru was sitting at Abchal Nagar (Sri Hazoor Sahib), the thought entered his mind.

ਬੋਲਿਆ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ, ਕਰਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ । ੧ । The perfect True Guru spoke, saluting the creator Lord. here in this line GURU GOBIND SINGH JI is " ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ " means perfect True Guru, is saluting the " ਕਰਤਾਰ " AKALPURAKH who is the creator of universe.

ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿਪ੍ਰ ਜਾਤ ਹੰਸਰਾਇ Calling for Bhai Prahlad Singh, from the lineage of Hansrai.

ਨਿਕਟ ਬੁਲਾਯਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਲੀਨਉ ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਇ । ੨ । Coming near Guru Ji, he was embraced.

ਪੰਥ ਚਲਯੋ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ The (Khalsa) Panth has been brought to this world by the grace of Guru Nanak.

ਰਹਿਤ ਬਤਾਈੲ ਖਾਲਸੇ, ਸੁਣ ਭਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ । ੩ । O’ Bhai Prahlad Singh, listen to the code of conduct for the Khalsa.

NOW BY READING ABOVE MENTION LINES U WILL UNDERSTAND WHERE AND WHY GURU GOBIND SINGH JI HAS DEFINED THE CODE OF CONDUCT KHALSA.SO LET'S MOVE FURTHER.

ਚੌਪਈ Chaupai

ਹੋਇ ਸਿਖ ਸਿਰ ਟੋਪੀ ਧਰੈ । ਸਾਤ ਜਨਮ ਕੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੁਇ ਮਰੈ If a Sikh wears a hat, he shall suffer through seven life times as a leper.

ਜੋ ਸਿਖ ਗਲ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਗਾ ਮੇਲੈ । ਚੌਪੜ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਗਨਿਕਾ ਖੇਲੈ । ੪ । The Sikh who wears the Hindu thread around his neck, gambles or visits a prostitute,

Here in this line it doesn't mean that any religion is wrong but GURU GOBIND SINGH JI here telling us the rituals followed by different religion's are following wrong. GURU ji haven;t did any miracle because they wanted to make Sikh self dependent.And if we are wearing a Hindu thread which is given by ""pandit or BABA"" is not right. Because nobody can't tells us the future, its only AKALPURAKH who knows every single thing, so if some one is don't know about his ownself how he can able to guide us. and even after ,if Sikh is doing such thing so what is going to be happen with that person that GURU ji also tells us read next line.

ਜਨਮ ਸੁਆਨ ਪਾਵੈਗਾ ਕੋਟਿ । ਬੀਜਯੋ ਹਾਥ ਬੁਰਾ ਇਸ ਖੋਟ Shall be born as a dog a hundred thousand times, for the evil seed produces evil fruit.

ਪਾਗ ਉਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜੋ ਖਾਵੈ । ਸੋ ਸਿਖ ਕੁੰਭੀ ਨਰਕ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ । ੫ । The Sikh who removes his turban while eating, goes to the worst of hells.

IN Sikhism 'people also says, while eating cover your head. why? Right? everyone wants to know why we have to cover our head. first of all which was instructed by GURU GOBIND SINGH JI, we should follow that without raising any question. but with the grace of GOD i will try to answer this also. Hope you all will understand what i am trying to telling you.

we all knows that what we got, what we are getting what we have or what we are going to have, all these such kind of things we are having or we are getting only beacuse of AKALPURAKH(GOD). AND IN MOOL PUNTAR GURU NANAK DEV JI Mention ""karta purakh"" it means karta dharta is AKALPURAKH.

so before eating we should cover our heads and thanks to AKALPURAKH for providing us such a good FOOD "upar vala shayad bhukha uthanda jaroor hai par sulanda sab nu roti khavake hai" this is the one famous line spoke by many shayar's. so we are covering our head for thanking god its the way for telling a thanks to AKALPURAKH, its the way of getting his Wishes. and we need his wishes very much.

So this is the meaning of four lines which i understood might be i am on a track with the GRACE of GOD.

meaning of rest of the REHATNAMA LINES i will share with you soon when AKALPURAKH will do Courtesy on me.

AND beside this at time of GURU HARGOBIND SAHEB JI jahangir was the emperor of india and he passes a statement in his court the wearing of turban is allowed only in royal or high families only. Only royal or high families can do ride of Horse's and elephant's. SO that's GURU HARGOBIND SAHEB JI who makes us bigger and Royal than anyone by giving us a real CROWN called or known as ""DUMALLA"". he said jahangir who are you to decide that who is ROYAL and who is not? you are creating an inequality and i am going to end it by giving a CROWN to people which is ROYAL and HIGHER than any other CROWN in WORLD.

and we do the ride of fast running horses, we do ride of elephant as well. and history is victim of those words said by GURU HARGOBIND SAHEB JI which proved true.

don't have any personal fight with anyone. if i wrote something wrong please forgive me for my mistakes.
