Foundku Poetry is a new genre of contemporary poetry created by George McKim in 2014. This new genre of poetry is a hybrid form of poetry that combines Haiku Poetry [[1]] and Found Poetry [[2]]. The Foundku poem uses the form of the Haiku Poem which is traditionally three lines, the first line containing five syllables, the second line containing seven syllables and the third line containing five syllables (the number of syllables are only guidelines, the number of syllables can vary slightly). The content of the Foundku poem is created by selecting words and phrases at random from other text sources and combining them in unexpected new ways. Surrealist Poetry and automatic writing are models for the process of writing Foundku poems. Here is an example of a Foundku poem by the Artist and Poet, George McKim:
