Kaine Nnamdi Ifeanyi, also known as Kc Ifeanyi, is an American journalist born on September 8, 1986 in Manhattan, Kansas.

Early life[edit]

Born to Nigerian-American parents, Kc Ifeanyi is the youngest of their four children. The whole family moved to Ruston, Louisiana when he was 3 and he remained there until adulthood.

He says only a handful of people know why his first name was abbreviated into Kc, and hence the signification of the letter c.[1]

Kc Ifeanyi lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Education[edit]

Kc Ifeanyi graduated from the MA programme with a concentration in arts and culture at Louisiana Tech University in 2008, and moved the same year to greater New York City area. There, he explored various form of journalism, [2] such as social media production, writing and editing.

Willing to complete his education in journalism, he found that the master of art programme from Columbia Journalism school met his expectation. He integrated and was granted a scholarship for this whole year of study. He graduated in 2013.

Career[edit]

From 2008 on, Kc Ifeanyi occupied various positions in journalism that helped him build his preference as a journalist. He was a freelance contributor for Inc.com and Fast Co.Create and worked as writer, editor, and social media manager for Fortune Small Business, Time, Inc. Content Solutions, and Howcast.

After graduating from Columbia J school in 2013, he was immediately hired by ABC as social media producer for the morning show Good Morning America (GMA). Nearly a year after, he was awarded with an Emmy for his contribution as social media producer.

He then accepted a position from FastCompany, for which he formerly worked as freelance writer, and started there as an associate editor on the Co.Create team. He specialized in the most creative people and developed an weekly video show "the most wonderful thing of the week".

From 2015 through 2016, he cohosted Judith Regan's talk radio show on Sirius and XM satellite radio.

Award[edit]

Kc Ifeanyi received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Program as Social Media Producer of Good Morning America in 2014.[3]
