Gerry Portales Yabes, (born on October 18, 1983 in Ilagan, Isabela) is a payroll processor in Quezon City and currently living in Taguig since December 2021. A Filipino citizen but of Ilocano origin who knows how to speak English and Spanish. He is an electorate of Taguig.
He is a Wikipedia contributor since 2005. He contributes in the English Wikipedia of any Philippines-related articles.[1] In 2018, he studied Spanish language and eventually became one of the few Filipinos contributing to Spanish Wikipedia, still on the same topic.
Education[edit]
In 2003, he graduated two-year Diploma in Information Technology at STI Ilagan. He was one of the recipients of La Verdad Christian College's full-grant scholarship program in 2009 under the program Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting until 2010. Currently, he is studying AB Journalism at CAP College Foundation in Makati City.
Occupation[edit]
Yabes started as a librarian in 2003. After that, he also experienced working as a salesman for a boutique in the year 2009, a motor shop in the year 2010 and became a team leader for a department store in the year 2011. He also became a data encoder for three years (2012-2015). In 2015, he was one of the sales agents of a sub-contractor of a telecom company for few months. He is currently working as parto of finance project of an international firm based in Quezon City.
Field researcher[edit]
When he was in Metro Manila in July 2015, he became a field researcher for a market research sub-contractor company in Pasig City. As a researcher, he was exposed on getting information from users of different products in various locations in Luzon which covers upper, middle and lower classes of Filipino families, until December 2016.
Customer service representative[edit]
He was employed as Customer support in a BPO company located in BGC, Taguig City in Metro Manila since December 2019. His career in BPO industry started in Alorica Philippines in Makati City since January 2017. He was considered to be one of the quality assurance analysts in September 2018. He wanted to be one of the Spanish bilingual agents in the future in the same industry.

Yabes is active in the entertainment industry in the Philippines since 2022. He wanted to pursue acting in the local film industry as well.

Yabes is passionate to contribute to Wikipedia to publish true facts specially about articles related to the Philippines and keeps to improve articles.

Filmography[edit]
Yabes dreams to be part of the Philippine entertainment industry. On July 2, 2022, he initially took acting workshop at Spectrum Models Manila which is based in Makati City. From September 23, 2023 to October 29, 2023, he was one of the participants of PETA Theater Center's Theater Arts AM class with the showcase title of CTRL + ALT + DECEIT: Ito Ang Gameshow Ng Buhay Niyo!
Currently, he is a freelance talent for various local entertainment productions in the creation of movies, short films, theater shows, TV series, and vlogs. He is part of Pamilya Ordinaryo Production since August 2023, a production company which is based in Metro Manila, Philippines.
