Laura Galstyan (pianist)

Laura Galstyan was born in 2003 in Yerevan. In 2010-2016 she studied at Sayat-Nova music school with Hasmik Ancharakyan. She is currently pursuing her professional education at Alexander Spendarian Specialized Music School. Laura has been taking professional coaching sessions with Hayk Melikyan, pianist, Honored Artist of Armenia since 2015. She took master-classes with Jura Margulis (Germany) during 2012-2013. She is a Laureate of National and International Competitions, including Special prize from program «New Names» at Arno Babajanian 9th Republican Competition for Young Pianists (2012), the 2nd Prize at the 5th International Competition-Festival “Renaissance” (2013), the 2nd Prize at Classical music festival “Playing for change” (2014), the 2nd Prize at the 6th Competition-Festival “Art Music” (2015), the 3rd Prize at Arno Babajanian 3rd International Young Pianists Competition (2015). She is the winner of the 8th Competition-festival “Sounds Yerevan” in 2015. Laura Galstyan was included into “They Own the Future” nomination of the “Best Ones in Education” Encyclopedia, as well as was awarded with medal “Gifted Child” in 2016.
