From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stampack is a commercial CAE simulation software with integrated pre- and postprocessor that validates sheet metall forming processes with a simulation based on the finite element method. It is practical software oriented to product and process tool designers and engineers so that knowledge and experience of finite element analysis is not required. Stampack covers applications in the automotive, aerospace, household, stainless steal and packaging industry. Stampack is especially widespread in the German Mittelstand and in Japan.

Application range[edit]

Stampack covers the metall forming processes deep drawing, stamping, ironing, hydroforming, stretch forming and progressive die forming. [1]

Functionality[edit]

The graphical interface of Stampack is based on the universal pre- and postprocessor GiD [2]. The solver consists of massively parallel explicit dynamic algorithm with both shell and solid element technology. For the calculation and compensation of springback the solver has an additional implicit algorithm. The failure criterion is an improved version of the Modified Mohr Coulomb plasticity model for sheet metalls.

Distributors[edit]

Stampack is sold and supported the local distributors Men At Work (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), ADA (Japan), AutoForm (worldwide), AutoCae (China), Awesome APPS (Italy, Japan, Thailand), CAE Technologies (Korea), CAD-IT (China, Southeast Asia), Missler Brazil (Brazil), Simutek (Turkey).[3]
