There is no doubt that everyone remembers Stevie Wonders' hit "I Just Called To Say I Love You". What is the real wonder is that George Smilovici knocked Stevie from his number One position on the charts – without even using music! He did it with the hilarious and controversial comic monologue "I'm Tuff". George managed to hold the number One position in Australia, New Zealand and the United States for an incredible seven weeks.
"I'm Tuff" catapulted his career worldwide. He has headlined at every major concert arena in Australia and New Zealand. The comedy circuit has seen George tour the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, South East Asia and New Zealand where he shared the stage with international talent such as Joe Cocker, Neil Sedaka, Suzi Quartro, Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Tiny Tim and The Pretenders.
George Smilovici also writes comedy for the stage, film, television, radio, magazines and the press. He is a popular guest on such television programs as "Hey! Hey! It's Saturday", "Midday" and the "Wide World of Sports" – to name a few.
George has many facets to his extraordinary talent, including lecturing at the International Humour Conference in 1997 on the subject of "Political Correctness".
Critics have used the words "hysterically funny" to describe his latest TV series on Golf, titled "The G–Files" – based on the hit TV series, "The X–Files".
