Gregory Conrad Wall was born in Fort WayneFort Wayne, Indiana, on October 25, 1955 and am the fourth generation in my family to be born in that city. My ancestors were pioneers in the city which means anyone arriving before 1850.Fort Wayne began populating its inhabitants from European immigrants after they had moved out all the Miami people and Potawatomi tribes in the 1840's to Kansas and then onto Oklahoma reservations. My German immigrants families were recruited through their German newspapers. The French from Alsace-Lorraine were fleeing another war in their homeland and the Irish were displaced by Ireland's Great Famine in the late 1850's and followed the Erie Canal that was dug by their fellow countrymen. I graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1974, received my BS in Chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington in 1978, then my MD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1984, became a diplomate for the American Board of Family Medicinein 1987 and am an assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine at the IU School of Medicine.
