From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gsushelby is the Wikipedia user name for Shelby, a student at an American University. She is a young adult striving to become a successful teacher in her near future by being a studious, attentive, and conscientious student. She hopes to, throughout her entire college career, broaden her knowledge about the world around her, make many new friends that will last a lifetime, and also make friends with her teachers while they transfer their intelligence to her, in turn, making her a successful citizen of this country. This user believes that she will succeed in college due to the knowledge, life-lessons, and grades she made in highschool. While she goes through college, she plans on trying her hardest to keep the HOPE scholarship (a scholarship given to the students of a college/university in the state of Georgia who achieved a 3.0 grade point average in highschool, and maintain that GPA in college) which she earned by having a cumalative grade point average of 4.11 at the end of her highschool career.

Her works on Wikipedia[edit]

This user first embarked on her Wikipedia journey when she uploaded an article titled "Bigstuf Camps". Unfortunately, this page was deleted for many specific reasons further explained on her talk page. Although this user was dismayed, she didn't give up as she continued on her journey of writing a successful Wikipedia article. She did her research and wrote an expansion on the article on Apple Cider Vinegar where there was merely a stub. Once again, she received some grief dealing with her article which can be found on the Apple Cider Vinegar discussion page, but this time only a portion of it got deleted. Although she tried to fight for her article, most of it was kept away from Wikipedia. The full version can be found at her Apple Cider Vinegar test page.
This user also made many minor edits on Wikipedia including one in particular to North Forsyth High School's page. She went onto the High School's main website, and noticed that the Wikipedia page on the school didn't precisely account for all of the sports that are played there. She changed the number on the Wikipedia page to promote a correct view on the school's athletic department. Another somewhat substantial edit that this user made was to the Wikipedia page on the TV show FRIENDS. She noticed a detail that was missing under the character Jennifer Aniston's name. She added in the sentence "Rachel and Ross Geller are involved in an on-again-off-again relationship throughout the series" to add clarity to the show's timeline and plot.
This user obviously hasn't had the best luck in the world dealing with Wikipedia, but has had the best intentions possible for adding insightful information to the Wiki World. Although she did have trouble with her fellow Wikipedians, she kept her hopes up as she tried to write a thriving article.

This user is somewhat knowledgeable about technology but still gets frustrated[edit]

This user has taken courses on technology and how it works, but the most informative course she took was a class called "computer applications". During that course, she specialized in the Microsoft Word program and has taken the information she mastered in that class with her into many more difficult courses. Although she enjoys working with Microsoft Word, she gets stumped and bewildered at the thought of anything more complicated. She is obsessed with her MacBook Pro and continues to spread the word to everyone about how amazing Apple products are.

This user's perspective on the site[edit]

This user believes that Wikipedia is a great place for personal research, academic research, as well as personal browsing. Even though many scholars believe that Wikipedia is rubbish, this user believes that credible people spend their valuable time making the Wiki world a better place.
This user believes that Wikipedia would be nicer if there were to be more lenience on the "no original research" rule. She believes that she has many wonderful insights that could be great additions to the world of Wikipedia, but adhering to the "no original research" rule, her ideas are shot down.

Languages[edit]

This user speaks fluent American English, as well as a tiny bit of the French language. Although she took 6+ years of French classes throughout her grade-school career, she realizes that she is pretty terrible at speaking the language and she shouldn't insult the language itself by trying. She does enjoy the French culture very much and wishes she could speak the beautiful language fluently, and hopes to further her knowledge on the language someday.

More on this user[edit]

This user has an out-going, and hyper personality. Although she does try to have fun in every situation she might be in, she does know when to take it down a notch, and be serious. She has a bunch of great friends that she knows will always be there for her, as well as a family that stands behind her 100%. She was a competition cheerleader all throughout her middle school and high school career. Although she still loves cheerleading, she decided to give it up when she moved away to college to concentrate on her studies. She loves to make fabulous grades and gets physically sick to her stomach when she doesn't. She knows that this do-or-die mentality probably isn't healthy, but refuses to slack off. She loves the season of Autumn, as well as the holidays that it brings. Her favorite time of the year is Christmas time when she can be with her family, both immediate and long-distant.
