Hello I'm Mario from Guatemala and I like Wikipedia. It is interesting and we could help to make it better. I've found some problems here mainly bias or prejudices but I think that can be fixed. I like geography and I have lived in Belize, Costa Rica and also in Mexico and the United States (for a very short period). In real life I'm an student of international relations so I am also interested in trade and politics.

My experience in Wikipedia

I used to edit this encylopaedia mainly from an anonymous IP because I only was attracted to fix small things in the articles I like. When I registered my account I was able to track the articles and how they developed.

I clearly see a bias in the information about Latin America but more in Central America. Also in North America where the continental arrage define my region Central America as being part of. Some individuals also include or exclude some countries in Central America which is not accurate and seems to be fueled by xenophobic issues.

What I expect from this

I want to improve the articles that I like the most, like geography and of course Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica and Mexico, countries that I have a great love for. I also excpect to find friendly people that can help me editing the articles I like.
