Roy Orlo Woodbury (November 28, 1913–September 21, 2002) was an American botanist.[1]

Woodbury was born in Montpelier, North Dakota and grew up in Redland, Florida. He entered the University of Miami in 1933 and graduated with a B.S. in chemistry with a minor in biology in 1937 and an M.S. in 1948.[1]

Woodbury taught at the University of Miami from 1934 to 1955 before moving to the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. He remained in Puerto Rico until his retirement in 1988 when he returned to Florida.[1]
