The Manila Railway B, C, and Z class coaches were passenger railroad cars (or passenger coaches) built in the United Kingdom for the Manila Railway Company in the late 19th century. 71 units of this type were built and despite this, boxcars were still added into the consist to provide additional capacity for third class passengers.

General features[edit]

The coaches has some semblance to Joseph Wright and Sons' designs built for the Sydney to Parramatta line in 1854. Typical of British railcars in the 19th century, it featured compartment coach seating with 3 passenger cabins seating 8 passengers each. The difference between the three in terms of accommodation remains unknown because all three types have the same capacity.

B class[edit]

The B class cars were the third class coaches and had the lowest of accommodations. 55 units of this type were built.
