Festival La Notte della Taranta is an Italian folk music festival, specifically of pizzica music and dance, hold in Puglia region (Salento area), every year in August.

It consisted in a musical tour among Salento's towns which culminate in a last big concert in Melpignano town, in August.

History[edit]

In 1998, on initiative of the Union of Municipalities of Grecìa Salentina and Diego Carpitella Institute, the first festival was created. ^[1]
