Having been born in Finland, lived in Scotland, Germany, Canada, Finland again, the USA, the UK, and now the USA again, I consider myself a global citizen.

Though I can understand written and spoken Finnish with no trouble, I must sometimes pause to remember a word during a conversation, and I have rarely ever written in the language.

My experience with Latin is the opposite as that with Finnish, since I have studied the language for 6 years and can write very well, but cannot converse in it fluently (though most people would not consider it a spoken language).

I have studied Spanish for two years and can converse in it on a basic level.
