Happy Holiday (movie)
Happy Holiday is a radio DJ by day and a Player by night. One day at the radio station, an Obsessed singer named Katrina stalks Happy Holiday about playing her song on the radio. He decides to do it and she leaves. While working, he gets a call from one of this flings named Jasmine. She wants him to come over for some 'fun'.
He agrees to do so and tells her he'll be over there after work. Hours later, Happy leaves work and heads over to Jasmine's house so they can get it on. Meanwhile, a little boy named Tim Jr. is at home staring at a picture of his mother Isis and his dad Tim Sr., a guy who is currently in jail and hasn't been in Tim Jr.'s life in a while. Isis and Tim have a little heart to heart of how Tim misses his dad. She changes the subject and tells him to get ready for bed.
As soon as she leaves the room she cries to herself. Tim starts to wish for Santa to bring him a new dad so that he and his mother can be happy again. The next day, back at the radio station Happy is working. He asks several callers to call in about the topic on 'being a player'. Several funny and weird characters start calling into the station giving their opinions.
But it's the last caller that tries to knock some sense into Happy. He's an old
man by the name of Otis who tells Happy that men who are players are weak, it's
all about true love. Once you have true love, that's all that matters. Happy
ends the calls on the subject then his phone rings. One of his other flings
Teresa calls him up for some 'fun'.
He agrees to come over after work. After Teresa, Happy shows most of his real
player side when he meets up with several different women. After a long day of
'fun', Happy goes home and sees his roommate Zeke, another player hanging out
with one of his own flings. Men will be men as Happy meets and greets both of
them then heads to his room. The next day Isis and Tim get ready for work and
school.
After Isis drops Tim off at school she hears Happy Holiday talking on the radio.
As Christmas begins to approach, Happy gets on the air and asks callers to call
in about how they feel about Christmas and what it means to them. Again, various
Characters call in with their funny opinions. Later, Isis and Tim attend a
Christmas party for her job. Happy Holiday dressed as Santa and his roommate
Zeke are in attendance.
Several kids and their parents go up to Happy Claus and tell him what they want
for Christmas. Tim is the last one to go up to him and instead of Toys, he just
wants a new Dad for himself and his mom. This touches Happy and he tells him
he'll see what he can do. After the party and later on that night, Happy and
Zeke go home. They have men talk about the party but Happy talks about Tim and
his Christmas list in particular.
Even Zeke can't help but feel what Happy is talking about but tries to cheer him
up anyway. From here on out nothing else matters but Tim. Happy goes out of his
way to meet up with Isis but she turns him down. Slowly but surely he eventually
gets her to go out on several dates with him and down the line they fall in
love. Even on some of the dates Tim Jr. tags along making it almost a family
thing between all three of them. After numerous dates, Happy can't seem to shake
his player side when he receives various calls from different women which end up
ruining things between Happy and Isis.
He begs her for another chance. She turns him down at first but eventually gives
in. Meanwhile Zeke has his own problems once he finds out that one of his flings
is possibly pregnant. This makes him realize that being a player and having
'fun' can have it's consequences. Now just when things are looking good between
Happy, Isis and even Tim, on Christmas day Tim Sr. is released from prison and
re-enters Isis and Tim Jr.'s lives. This messes up everything that Happy and
Isis was starting to have until things get out of hand.
Tim Sr. finds out about Happy and gets angry. He and Isis get into a fight. Tim
Jr. tries to stop the fight but ends up getting badly hurt by Tim Sr. during the
altercation to which Tim Sr. leaves the house in fear of going back to prison.
Isis panics and rushes the badly hurt Tim Jr. to the hospital. Meanwhile, Happy
in a Santa outfit tries to deliver toys to Tim Jr. but before he can get to the
house he sees Isis driving in a hurry as she rushes Tim to the hospital.
Desperate he tries to follow her but in the process of doing so he gets car
jacked and ends up exchanging the bag of toys with a kid on a little motor bike.
So Happy takes the motor bike for a ride but in a wrong place, wrong time type
of situation Katrina accidentally hits Happy with her car while driving. Weeks later Happy is at the radio station on air as he is seen in a cast and bruised up but okay.
He talks about true love which seemed to have change him from being a womanizer into a one woman man. After he goes off the air he meets up with Isis and Tim Jr. who is also okay and they leave the radio station together. Happy Holiday is a Christmas themed romantic comedy with laughs and heart that the whole family can enjoy, especially.
