Aarushi Nishank

Aarushi Nishank, is a renowned Kathak dancer, actor, film producer, environmentalist, TEDx speaker, and National Convener of Sparsh Ganga. Aarushi Nishank gained immense popularity through her appearance in the hit music video "Wafa Na Raas Aaye" by Jubin Nautiyal, which has garnered over 295 million views on Tseries official YouTube channel. Aarushi, who rose to fame as part of three music videos for T Series and Zee Music will be seen in the film 'Tarini'. Aarushi is a persuasive social activist and environmental conservationist, dedicated to causes such as preserving the river Ganga through her NGO, Sparsh Ganga, and making the Ganga pollution free with the Namami Ganga campaign. She is also actively involved in tree-planting initiatives for environmental conservation and more.

ACTOR (Unleashing Self-Expression Through Art and Creativity)

In September 2021, Aarushi signed up for her first Bollywood project with "Tarini". Under production right now, the film depicts the story of six women officers of the Indian Navy who sailed around the world on a 254-day expedition. Besides playing one of the protagonists, Aarushi is also a producer on "Tarini" and has worked with acclaimed lyricist Prasoon Joshi throughout the conceptualization and writing process. The poster for the film is out, and the film promises to be a vivid portrait of the Naval officers' resilience and determination.

Aarushi has, however, previously appeared in front of the camera before "Tarini." Before her big-screen debut, Arushi starred in the popular music video "Wafa Na Raas Aayee", a music video that has had more than 296 million views to date, masterfully shot opposite Himansh Kohli in Kashmir during the pandemic. As with everything she does, Aarushi is carving her niche as an actor and a performer. She has also worked on two other projects with Zee Music, "Jo Tumko Jhooth Lagay" a captivating video with Vishal Singh that has had more than a million views and the Tseries music album "Teri Galiyon Se" mesmerizing video with Gurmeet Chowdhary, that is also a fan favourite with more than 52 million views.

PRODUCER (Unifying Film Production and Social Upliftment)

Aarushi Nishank founded Himshrri Films to build a niche for herself as a film producer. The first film she produced was Major Nirala, a silver-screen adaptation of her father's novel. It was her way of paying tribute to her father, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, former Education Minister of India. The film was released in 2018 and garnered widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike.

Other than the exciting film project, Himshrri has also executed an ad campaign for the Patanjali Group, among other things.

Being passionate about women empowerment, entrepreneurship, and other pressing causes, Aarushi strives to focus her production on social upliftment. Several celebrities, including Kailash Kher, Prasoon Joshi, Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Tiwari, and Arun Govil, have endorsed Himshree Productions.

With each new production, Arushi aims to explore new horizons and possibilities while spreading a social message. Her upcoming web series project, "Kafal," promises to be a powerful blend of storytelling and activism, showcasing Arushi's commitment to using her creative endeavours as a catalyst for positive change.

(Co-Founder Sparsh Ganga/Upholding the Purity and Sanctity of Our Holy River)

Aarushi Nishank has been on a mission to conserve River Ganga. As a passionate advocate for the environment, she has been involved in several ecological and sustainability initiatives. She co-founded Sparsh Ganga in 2008 with the vision of making the Ganges free of contamination and pollution. The initiative has garnered the support of several prominent public figures, including veteran actress Hema Malini, who is also the brand ambassador of Sparsh Ganga.

Sparsh Ganga has earned several accolades, including an award from the Golden Book of World Records, which was presented by Shri Nitin Gadkari. Besides working for environment upliftment, the organization also distributed more than two lakh reusable khadi masks to soldiers during the pandemic. Spearheaded by Arushi, the initiative was done as a collaboration with AquaCraft.

Nishank took the promotion of the Clean Ganga Initiative as the National Ambassador of Sparsh Ganga through her Kathak performances, "Ganga Tujhe Salam" in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, aimed at conveying the importance of the River Ganga and its state of preservation. She also composed and choreographed "Ganga Avataran", the tale of the goddess Ganga's ascent to earth.

Nishank is also associated with several social reform programs aimed at empowering women worldwide, apart from her role in environmental preservation. She chaired the International Women Empowerment Program (IWEP) in Dubai. Apart from being Globally active in promoting Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, a government initiative to save girl children, she has also been in Forbes Middle East for her contribution to social work and women's empowerment. She is also the first woman from Uttarakhand to be recognized as a power woman.

Nishank's efforts in women empowerment also guided her to launch the Himalayan Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital in Dehradun, Uttarakhand (2006), where she educates youth about Ayurveda and creates employment opportunities.

She helped generate better employment opportunities for women of Uttarakhand, including promoting the utilization of the Vimal tree's bark to make fabric and baskets. The flowers and petals drained into Ganga were also used to make scent sticks, further providing employment.

Another initiative by Aarushi Nishank was the "Selfie with my Sparsh Tree" campaign to promote afforestation in India, launched on October 2, 2019, on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth; a monumental ocassion for all Indians. Through the campaign, Nishank aimed to plant over 10 lakh saplings throughout the year in India in association with educational institutions and NGOs.

As part of the Sparsh Ganga campaign, Nishank also participated in the Yamuna Cleaning Drive. Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari joined her in the drive to clean the river, Yamuna.

Aarushi Nishank has been an inspiration to many who want to make a difference in society. Through her work on environmental preservation, women empowerment, and other social reform programs, the positive impact has reached throughout India and beyond.
