He is mostly known for sophisticated, clean graphic design that speaks to the various branding nuances of each particular project. He has designed and/or art directed graphics and marketing projects for clients like Land Rover, Jaguar, Nissan, Infiniti, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, The Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, Walt Disney World. Currently, he is a designer for a leading personal health and well-being product producer. He is also known for his figure drawings and hand calligraphy.

HIP immigrated to the United States in 1982 with his family, of which he is the seventh of nine children. In 1996, he graduated from The College for Creative Studies, Detroit, with a BFA in Graphic Communications. He is a black belt in TaeKwonDo and speaks 3 languages: English, Vietnamese and French.
