Hersheypark has considered a variety of rides during the renovations era of the Park.

Below is an incomplete list.

Conceptualized rides[edit]

  • Rhineland Tunnel-Train Ride - scheduled to be installed in 1973, but was cancelled when the demolition of the bandshell and construction of the amphitheater required necessary funding.
  • Rhineland Express - scheduled to be a reinstallation of the Miniature Railroad in 1974, instead of the Tunnel-Train concept. It was cancelled after 1974 plans were largely scrapped.
  • Rhineland River Boats - scheduled to be installed in 1973, pushed to 1974, then cancelled.
  • Tree House Slide
  • Trolley Cars
  • Moving Sidewalk
  • Intamin Speed Coaster Mine Train - Intamin submitted this proposal in 1972, based on R. Duell's conceptual design. Hersheypark turned down the offer, instead accepting Arrow Development's concept.
  • Intamin Inclined Railroad
