Hollywood en Espanol Hollywood films have been a great influence all over the world for many decades, in most Spanish speaking countries, Hollywood films account for a large percentage of the box office, although in recent years we have seeing a proliferation of films from all over Mexico, Central and South America that have been widely accepted by local movie goers and have even had international success. Films like: Y tu mama tambien, nominated for an Academy Award for Original Screenplay; included a cast of great actors, some of whom where starting their careers; Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, and directed by academy award winner for best director Alfonso Cuaron. Also Los Diarios de Motocicleta (The Motorcycle Diaries) nominated by the Academy for Music (Original Song) Writing (Adapted Screenplay). Still Hollywood blockbuster movies draw the largest audiences.

With new online streaming platforms Hollywood movies dubbed to Spanish continue to dominate and influence the Spanish Speaking public. In the 70's 80's and 90's most Hollywood films had subtitles, as audiences are becoming more demanding dubbing has gotten significantly better and the experience for movie lovers continues to improve.
