The Hull Story is a monthly free newspaper which serves Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The paper competes with the Hull Daily Mail, owned by Reach plc.

Founded in November 2019 by former Hull Daily Mail journalists Simon Bristow, Rick Lyon and Kevin Shoesmith, the newspaper had originally intended to launch in print before the COVID-19 pandemic placed these plans on hold. An online daily edition on The Hull Story's website would launch in July 2020,[1] and after three years of delay, a free monthly tabloid edition began to be printed at Mortons Print in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, with the first 10,000 copies distributed to newsstands at shopping centres, local community hubs and libraries across Kingston upon Hull, as well as delivered to homes of housebound Hull residents.[2][3]
