Scott Shore new article content ... H. Scott Shore is more commonly known as "Scott Shore." Mr. Shore served as the Vice President of the United States Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and served as Deputy Ambassador to Ambassador and President of OPIC, the Hon. Fred Zeeder during the Administration of President George H. W. Bush from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Shore was in charge of Investment Missions for the independent government agency and helped to cement economic ties along with democratic reforms in diverse nations such as El Salvador, Paraguay, Ukraine, Armenia, Tajikistan and other former Soviet bloc nations. Prior to this role, Mr. Shore was the Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida. Mr. Shore was strongly endorsed by former US Senator Connie Mack, President Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State, Elliott Abrams and former Congressman and Bush's HUD Secretary, Jack Kemp. The campaign advanced the themes of the "conservative opportunity society", limited government, strong national defense and support of the Strategic Defense Initiative. Mr. Shore was defeated by incumbent Democratic Congressman, Harry Johnston. The Chairman of Mr. Shore's campaign was the famous actor and Senator from California, George Murphy, who was a resident of Palm Beach, Florida at the time.

Mr. Shore was born in 1955. He is a graduate of Harvard College (1977) and Columbia University Graduate School of Business (1980). Scott Shore was a consultant at Bain and Company and a Principal at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Shore married Valerie Katz in 1980. They have four children and two grandchildren. Mr. Shore was an active blogger on libertarian and conservative websites such as intellectualconservative.com, enterstageright.com and many other. Mr. Shore grew up in Florida and attended Miami Country Day School in Miami Shores and Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale. After graduating Harvard College, Mr. Shore was nominated and awarded the Rotary International Graduate Fellowship from the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club. Mr. Shore used that year to earn a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex in England. Mr. Shore was among the active founders of the Boca Raton Synagogue and the Young Israel of Boca Raton in Boca Raton, Florida. Mr. Shore is currently an educator in Florida.
