FFFUUU comics (aka Rage Threads)

FFFUUU Comics, or more known as Rage Threads, are popular memes which surfaced as simple comics, usually made in MS Paint. This comic usually has four panels/frames. The last frame always expresses frustration and rage, and the three previous frames explain why.

Origin[edit]

A while back, someone on 4Chan.org, specifically on /b/, drew an illustration comic on Microsoft Paint and decided it was time to do something about his now-drenched butt. What he created was a four scene comic showing all the typical steps of using the loo, sparing no gory details. As his problem was described, stagnant water is always reflected back at one's buttocks while taking a solid bowel movement. He wanted to know how many others are similarly afflicted, and if there was anything that could be done to remedy this condition.

The first FFFUUU comic[edit]

The first rage comic, as described above, wasn't supposed to be a rage comic; It was a question, which was solved by another poster on /b/ who used a similar illustration to share an old family secret as to how they prevented this. The answer: a simple layer of toilet paper, resting on the surface of the water, can almost entirely reduce the risk of unwanted splashback from toilet water.

Growth[edit]

This conversation was so funny, that in the true fashion of /b/, it had the first three frames whited out, as to make a template that other users could use to make their own strips. Other posters on /b/ then started narrating their most frustrating part of their lives into a form that struck a chord with the rest of the /b/ collective. Many of these were centered around other very annoying things that happen inside the common bathroom, but it eventually spread into every corner of the life of every user of /b/. Sexual innuendos, including masturbation and intercourse, along with forced internet memes and common "copypastas", or mediums copied from one site or source and then posted onto other various sites, forums, blogs, and etcetera, like Trollface, Pedo Bear, Awesome Face, Epic Fail Guy, and etcetera, have also been inserted into these comics. Among the more notable features of this internet meme, are the fact that anyone, even someone with little to no experience with computer coding, can create a comic, and not just those with extraordinary photoshop skills, either.

Definition of "FFFUUU"[edit]

Obviously, FFFUUU is an expression of anger and rage. But to the unaware, they may believe that FFFUUU is actually a swear. Actually, they are right, too. The expression, spelled as posted, "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-", (23 F's and 22 U's) is truly a stretched out and incomplete version of the F-word, hence the hyphen. However, as pronounced on a video from YouTube, the F's resemble the slow stress release of air coming out between the two incisor teeth and the lower lip, and the U's resemble a very loud raging yell, to release all the anger.

Variations on FFFUUU Comics[edit]

As Rage Threads became popular, there were few people who thought it needed some variations. Henceforth, the FFFUUU face was altered in many ways, and many variations were created, including 'Better Than Expected' comics, which is essentially the polar opposite of a rage thread... then there are atomic rage threads... which doesn't use the phrase "FFFUUU", but instead a more raging FFFUUU face with a nuclear explosion in the background. There is also a "F**k Yea" comic where something awesome usually occurs in the character's favor.
