User:IPTaggerBot

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Purpose[edit]

The purpose of IPTaggerBot is to properly tag existing IP address talk pages with the appropriate tag from Category:Shared IP header templates. It is primarily geared towards tagging large ranges en masse, as it is a manually assisted bot.

Program[edit]

IPTaggerBot uses AWB to perform the IP address talk page tagging. Input as to which pages are to be tagged and what details the tags will include is provided by this bot's operator, Ioeth.

Period and Frequency[edit]

This bot is projected to perform 30 edits per minute at most while being run, but it can be throttled down to whatever edit rate is deemed appropriate. IPTaggerBot has no expected normal operating period, since it is manually assisted, but will most likely not operate for more than 1 to 2 hours twice a day.

Approval[edit]

This bot is approved per Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/IPTaggerBot.
