Islands of Southeast Asia Network on Male and Transgender Sexual Health (ISEAN) is a network of networks established with the view of sharing information among Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and promoting effective HIV responses for men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM) and transgender people (TG). ISEAN is the first sub regional grouping of community representatives and organizations from Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Timor Leste.

ISEAN was formed after the first Regional Consultation for MSM and TG in 2009, prior to the 9th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) in Bali, Indonesia. ISEAN is acknowledged by the Asia Pacific Coalition on Male Sexual Health (APCOM) as representative of the above sub-region.

Since 2011, ISEAN, partnering with Hivos, have been working together to address critical gaps in supporting and scaling up activities that reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS among MSMs and TGs in Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, and Timor Leste, under the ISEAN Hivos Program.

The main objective of the program is to strengthen the capacity of CBOs and healthcare providers to improve the delivery of HIV related services for MSMs and TGs. The program also aims to improve the enabling the environment for strategic advocacy, improve development and utilization of strategic information regarding MSMs, TGs, and HIV related issues, and to promote the strategic use of ICT and media to effectively scale up the HIV response among MSMs and TGs.
