Hello, I'm Icarus. I've been making occasional edits on Wikipedia since 2008, but have recently been increasing my web presence through joining various online communities under the username 'Icarus Twelve'. My aspirations are to educate and inspire others to spread awareness about new technologies and the developing space industry.

I have formal education in aerospace engineering and nuclear engineering as well as interests in machine learning, space advocacy, and futurism. I make my living through entrepreneurship in new and developing technology industries and currently am enjoying a minimalistic lifestyle which allows me to move frequently and experience new cultures.

• political theory and political science applied to societal change and advancement; not necessarily politics.
• human innovation applied to concepts in transhumanism and futurism
• Evolution and adaptation of human society and bringing about new ways of thinking through open mindedness and acceptance of alternate cultures, life perspectives, and ideologies such as the social organism theory.
• The intersection of economics, philosophy and politics. A small area outside the mainstream of each of the three disciplines as they exist today in academia, and is generally understudied and undertheorized.
• Efficient energy, especially progress related to alternative energy, energy markets, and smartgrid infrastructure development
• software, hardware, and embedded system technology development applied to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• The Semantic Web and next-generation communication technology

Wikipedia projects

• Improve Wikipedia coverage of the emerging NewSpace (alt.space) aspect of spaceflight and contribute to documenting the early decades of the space age.
