Trivia sections should be encouraged[edit]

It seems a few people keep adding the negative note on all pages which have trivia sections - but not only can they be interesting, they also seem very popular. And quite often you can NOT incorporate them in the main text without the main text being a weird bloatware article. Yes, it is supposed to be a respectable encyclopedia and they don't have that, but it is also supposed to be used by people right? It lives by their interest.--IceHunter (talk) 22:38, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Notification Query[edit]

Anybody know how to NOT get notification when someone writes something on this page? Unchecking "watch" doesn't seem to have an effect. --IceHunter (talk) 18:53, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

User choice of what to see on pages[edit]

Seems more and more wikipedia pages are being overrun by tons of tags at the top of pages with warnings and dictates and other junk that few really care about - it would be nice if us ordinary users could switch the display of that (on a per users basis). I would have posted that in a suggestions forum - but i can't seem to find one.--IceHunter (talk) 06:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Logging in to wikipedia[edit]

Ah, how nice it would be if Wikipedia would remember your password - until i log out. Seems a bit of a nannying attitude forcing people to log out. --IceHunter (talk) 13:35, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

What to avoid[edit]

Wikipedia tells us: "Avoid posting a generic warning template if actively involved in the edit war, it can be seen as aggressive." - I would add: avoid using warning template as all - manually write to others what it is you wish to complain about. --IceHunter (talk) 19:50, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
