Abdullah Mahmud Hendropriyono (pronunciation; hehn-DRO-pree-o-NOH[needs IPA]; born 7 May 1945 in Yogyakarta) is a retired four-star general from Kopassus, the Indonesian Army special forces group. Hendropriyono is The chief of One of political parties that support the Government, PKPI. He won by acclamation on August 27th 2016.[1]

Military service[edit]

The retired four star General from Indonesian Special Forces (Kopassus) is one of the most highly decorated officer in the Indonesian Army with medals to include : Bintang Mahaputera Indonesia Adipradana, Bintang Kartika Eka Paksi Nararya-prestasi, Bintang Bhayangkara Utama, Bintang Yudha Dharma, Bintang Dharma, Satya Lencana Bhakti (medal for wounded in the battle).

Hendropriyono is well known for his intelligence skill & networks. He is nicknamed as The Master of Indonesian Intelligence. Hendropriyono is the fist Professor of Intellegence in the world.[2]

In his spare time Hendropriyono create songs. Five was approved to be the national songs and had been played in The Presidential Palace during the Indonesian National Day Parade.[3]

Civilian service[edit]

Hendropriyono served as Director of the Indonesian State Intelligence Agency between 2001 and 2004.[4]

President-elect Joko Widodo named Hendropriyono an adviser of his transition team on 9 August 2014.[5]
