It's me, Ivvavik[edit]

I like maps, I enjoy looking at maps. I have yet to create any but watch out, some might be on the radar sometime soon

Wikipedia projects:

  • Adding climate data to articles without any ♣
  • Creating a brand new article on the world's wettest places. Still awaiting permission. ♠
  • Discovering a new wettest location (personal opinion: it's in southern Chile) ♣
  • Finding a website which gives accurate climate data over a range of locations ♠
  • Getting a lat/long reading on the Big Bog in Maui ♦
  • Creating a brand new article on the titular Big Bog ♦

♦=Complete ♣=Ongoing ♠=Incomplete/not started

Check out this neat article I wrote[edit]

It's not done ahhhhhhh

Big Bog, Maui[edit]

give it a look
give it a gander
tell me how it sucks
suggest how to make it not suck

Campaign of Truth[edit]

For quite a while, now, Mount Waialeale has been seen by the community as the wettest place in Oceania, and one of the wettest in the world. The number you will see almost anywhere (or at least, anywhere I haven't cleaned up) is 460 inches of rainfall, or about 11684 millimetres. As far as I can tell, this is completely untrue, and is shown to be untrue in the very article espousing it! If you go here, you'll see a lovely weather box (like the ones at the bottom of the page) which cites its rainfall as a much lower, although still significant, 373(ish) inches. The Big Bog is a swamp up on the high slopes of the Haleakala, and it's supposed to have 404 inches every year.
So, I have been out on a quest to spread correct information over Wikipedia. Why? Well, for the same reason I do any editing on Wikipedia. I'm bored, and fiddling in HTML makes me feel like I know how to code. If you find any inaccuracies regarding Wai'ale'ale and the Big Bog, please tell me, and I'll fix it. Or fix it yourself! Here's the link to cite if you want to-

Just leave me a sweet little message in the Talk section about which articles you fixed, and maybe mention my name in the "Edit summary" section. And remember, it's because of the thankless labours of thousands of anonymous Wikipedians that truth is something we can take for granted here. If you know something is wrong, don't be afraid to fix it. Or don't be too lazy to fix it. I guess. Do what you want, actually.

feel free to give me some tips of where to find climate data please[edit]
