FirstWorks is an non-profit organization whose purpose is to connect the public of Rhode Island to world-class performing arts. It is based in Providence, Rhode Island.
FirstWorks was formed in 2004 by Kathleen Pletcher, transforming a non-profit organization that had been running Providence's first night festival, a new-year's celebration in the city. [1] It is one of the founding organizations of Providence's PVDFest.[2]
