Joe Wilson Jr. is an actor, director, and educator working in Providence Rhode Island. Wilson is part of the resident acting company at Trinity Repertory Company.[1]

In addition to acting, Wilson is known for his work in youth theater education, mentoring and arts advocacy, and has received awards from the Rhode Island Black Heritage Society, [2] the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, [3] the Metlife Foundation, and the Rhode Island House of Representatives.[2]

In 2018, Wilson as the understudy to Denzel Washington as Hickey and Michael Potts as Joe Mott in the 2018 Broadway revival production of The Iceman Cometh at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater. [4]
