From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Private Equity Foundation is a British venture philanthropy fund founded in 2006[1] which works with charities to help young people fulfil their potential. Its investments aim to tackle the NEET (young people not in education, employment or training) issue, and include both money and pro bono expertise.

With the backing of nearly 70 private equity firms, the Private Equity Foundation has granted just under £11 million to charities such as Fairbridge, School Home Support and City Year. The CEO of the foundation, Shaks Ghosh[2], was previously CEO of Crisis.
