The Lo Nuestro Awards is an awards show honoring the best of Latin music, presented by television network Univision. Tañón received twenty seven competitive awards from fourty five nominations; the singer also has received two additional Lo Nuestro Awards, the People Choice Award for Tropical Album (Yo Por Ti) in 2002 and the "Trayectoria Artística" (Artistic Career Award) in 2008.[3]
