João Francisco Lisboa(22 March 1812 - 26 April 1863) was a Brazilian politician, historian, journalist, and writer. Posthumously, he was declared one of the 50 patrons of the Academia Brasileira de Letras.

He holds the 18th patron seat of the Academia Brasileira de Letras, nominated by the founding member José Veríssimo.
