I am a grateful user and supporter of Wikipedia. I acquired a user id some time ago in order to correct the occasional obvious error I encountered. Then I naively wrote a biography on a ragtime composer (Clarence Woods) based on information gained from another user's research. But at least I started an article. Then I was in a play that had no entry (The Man Who Had Three Arms), so I started that article. I know a lot about ragtime, so I wrote one article on a living ragtime composer and performer (Richard Egan (composer)), but had it flagged for not enough references. Now I have read up on how to compose adequate articles on living persons, and have just submitted a hopefully good one on Trebor Jay Tichenor. (Jan 2010) As you can see, I played a bit with userboxes. I am quite the newbie, but dedicated to the cause and hopeful to slowly learn more and improve. I have good computer and internet skills, but I'm way behind the curve in "getting" the Wiki phenomenon.
