It's Your Ship: Management Techniques from the Best Damn Ship in the Navy is The New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling book written by Michael Abrashoff, who graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was the captain of the USS Benfold (DDG-65) from 1997-1999.^[1]

Synopsis[edit]

Commander Mike Abrashoff dissects his use of effective leadership in this guide to business management technique. Abrashoff uses as an example his 20 months commanding the USS Benfold. He gives the reader examples of how he renewed confidence in the poorly performing USS Benfold one of the best in the fleet within 20 months with the same crew using his brand of leadership techniques. ^[2]
