Tai Urban (born March 10 at the turn of the century in Ventura County, CA, USA). The Chinese zodiac indicates that Tai Urban was born in the year of the Dragon. <sign is Pisces.

Martial Arts[edit]

Taekwondo[edit]

A gold medalist from the 2011 taekwondo Junior Olympian< under belt board breaking. He is also a 2011 bronze medalist under belt Junior Olympian in weapons.[1]

Karate[edit]

He competed at the 2011 and 2012 American Karate Association American Open and won 1st place in extreme weapons, continuous sparring, point sparring, Korean traditional forms, and extreme forms.[2]

Jiujitsu[edit]

Tai won his 1st jiujitsu no gi tournament at the AKA American Open in 2012. Prior to that he had only competed in several jiujitsu competitions only with a gi in which he won gold medals.

Kickboxing[edit]

Training for kickboxing was done in Thailand at Fairtex during the summer.

Weapons[edit]

Tai has been trained in different weapons such as nunchucks, bow, kama, swords, and knives. Also, included in his training is fight choreography and stunt training with regards to using these weapons. Tai's trainers for nunchucks and creative forms: Gemma Nguyen who is highly ranked in the NASKA circuit for extreme weapons, creative forms, and more.

Tai Urban continues to compete in various martial arts with nunchucks being his favorite weapon of choice.

Acting career[edit]

Tai Urban has worked in the entertainment industry since he was six months old. He first worked on the set of the Drew Carey Show. Since then he has been in commercials, theater productions, and films.[3][4]
