Ellington are an Indie Rock band from Brisbane, Australia. The band initially consisted of only Jake Bosci (vocals, guitar) and Michael Beatson (backing vocals, guitar), but recently has gained additional members Anita Goldsworthy (piano), Stevie West (drums) and Lloyd Budd (bass).

The band have recently returned from the United States after recording their new EP 'More Like a Movie, Less Like Real Life' with Matt Malpass.[1] The band have returned and are currently writing songs in preparation for a new EP or Album.[2]

The Joy We Keep In[edit]

Ellington's first EP, The Joy We Keep In, was released in 2007 under the label Starving Kids Records. On their most recent Australian tour, they only played one song from this EP, 'Distance', while the rest were from their new EP.[3] It is available for purchase through the band's iTunes page.

More Like a Movie, Less Like Real Life[edit]

Ellington's most recent EP, which was self-released before the band signed on with Sony BMG.[4] The EP was recorded in America with the assistance of Mat Malpass, and guest stars Matt Thiessen, Jeff Turner and Leighton Antleman.[5] It is currently available to order through the band's MySpace page or iTunes, and at this time, isn't available in stores.
