Diane Houston is Professor of Psychology and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Kent. Prior to becoming Dean she was Head of the School of Psychology. Her research interests are within applied social psychology and its interface with sociology and social policy. She is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Diane Houston was born in Dundee(Scotland). She obtained her Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Dundee in 1986, then her PhD in Psychology at the University of Kent in 1991.
